The strong position that the EU has taken in terms of establishing the Next Generation EU fund will function as an important catalyst for change for the entire Union. Large investments in digitalisation and 可持续性 are being planned, and these are areas where Swedish companies are at the forefront, driving innovative and climate-friendly solutions. 

The Business Climate Survey for 西班牙 2021 reveals that Swedish companies have mixed feelings about the Spanish business climate. 仍然, 在一般情况下, they view the current business climate in 西班牙 as “neutral” (neither good nor poor). 然而, most Swedish companies had a positive year in 2020 in terms of profitability and have a positive outlook in terms of the expected recovery of business activities. 

Despite Covid-19, 72 per cent of the surveyed Swedish companies report profitability in 2020. As many as 69 per cent of the companies expect their turnover to increase in 2021 (to varying degrees). The survey provides first-hand perspectives and insights into business trends, issues and challenges in global markets based on extensive interviews with Swedish companies operating in each country. Around 200 companies are present on the Spanish market. 65 companies responded to the survey conducted in March-April of 2021, thus yielding a response rate of around 33 per cent.
